Roman BEZUS: “Recently I visited FC Kremin Kremenchuh football school, talked to its trainees…”

Before the start of Dynamo training camp in Austria he went to his native town Kremenchuh and visited the local football school.

- What is the most important thing for a young player?

- One must be patient. Good coach is also necessary.

- Did you have a good coach?

- My father was my coach and he was very strict. Now I understand that it was necessary.

- Do you attend his training sessions?

- I do. Recently I visited FC Kremin Kremenchuh football school, talked to its trainees. There is a boy who has already been invited to play in a big city, but I think it’s too early for him.

- Is it better for you to play as supporting halfback for Ukraine national team among first eleven or to be a substitute, playing on your usual position?

- Every player wants to be among first eleven. I remember ex-Vorskla Poltava coach Mykola Pavlov saying that trophies are won not only due to 11 players who start the game, but also due to all those who compete with them during the whole season. It’s a kind of art to make a substitute appearance.

- Do you intimate the game against Montenegro?

- I wasn’t sure that I would definitely score, but the head coach told me not to be afraid of hogging the cover.

That goal was very important for me as I scored for Ukraine national team for the first time ever.

- You’ve got a son lately. What are your impressions?

- Sometimes it’s difficult for me to make the baby calm down, but when my wife comes, our son stops crying at once.

- Have you already got used to Kyiv?

- Yes, I have. Though traffic jams are a bit tiresome.

- What places of interest have you already visited?

- We went to Lesia Ukrainka and Ivan Franko theatres. I also enjoy walking along Khreshchatyk and Andriivskyi Descent. Kyiv is a beautiful city.

- Is your adaptation to the new team over?

- I think so. Though this period was rather long…

- Who are Dynamo leaders?

- Andriy Yarmolenko, Denys Harmash, Yevhen Khacheridi.

- Can we congratulate you on your first medal of Ukrainian Premier League?

- I don’t think so. Third place is a complete failure for Dynamo Kyiv. I’m sure that we won’t let it happen next season.
