- I guess I’ll start with greeting. Long live Ukraine! Ukraine is inseparable. That’s the way it should be. I want to thank fans, ultras, who decided to join efforts for our country.
- What were you physical conditions and psychological state before the game against SC Tavria Simferopol?
- We just wanted to play as we had been preparing for a long period of time, but had official matches only against Valencia CF. Anyway we have no problems with physical conditions and psychological state?
- Would it have been better for your team to start the second part of the season with the game against FC Shakhtar Donetsk?
- We are players and almost nothing depends upon us. Of course we were getting ready for important match against Shakhtar at first. Still it’s not a big deal.
- Do you discuss problems of such clubs as FC Metalist Kharkiv, FC Chornomorets Odesa and Crimea teams with your teammates?
- First of all we must focus on our play, but of course we talk about that. We discuss football and politics.
- Can the defeat against Valencia CF be indicative of the quality of Dynamo preparation for the second part of the season?
- We had all necessary conditions for good preparation. Maybe something went wrong. There are many different reasons. Anyway we had to struggle and win. The game in Cyprus was a failure for us. We had only one scoring chance. In the second leg we played with dedication, but didn’t manage to score.
- Many experts state that Dynamo players just don’t understand Blokhin’s requirements. Is that really so?
- That’s not true. The head coach tells us what to do. We’ve also got tactics coach. Still only players make decisions of the pitch.
- Your father is a football coach. Did you ever have a desire to do something else in your life?
- I didn’t. When a kid I watched older guys playing football. Later I started playing too and I never wanted to do something else in my life since then.
- Did you dream of playing for FC Dynamo Kyiv featuring for FC Kremin Kremenchuh or maybe you liked another club?
- Of course I wanted to play for Dynamo and Ukraine national team. As for foreign clubs, I liked AS Roma.
- What was the most memorable moment of you career in FC Vorskla Poltava?
- I remember matches against Benfica very well. It was my first experience on European arena. It let me realize that I can feature on higher level.
- Did you get transfer offer only from Dynamo?
- There were a lot of rumors, but my father and I wanted me to play for Dynamo.
- Is there any team you’ll play for in no circumstances?
- I guess that’s FC Shakhtar Donetsk.
- Why haven’t you become Dynamo first team regular yet?
- There are many reasons for that. At first I had psychological difficulties after the game against Bordeaux when I didn’t use a scoring chance. Later I picked up injury. I do my best at every training session. Anyway it’s all up to the head coach.
- They say Shovkovskyi is Dynamo leader. Who else can play this role?
- I guess Yarmolenko, Husiev, Khacheridi, Harmash. Still we lack such tough guy like Ruslan Rotan or Maxym Shatskikh, for example.
- With whom do you have best relations in Dynamo?
- With Yarmolenko, Koval, Tsurikov, Selin, Sydorchuk, Khacheridi, Harmash.
- What do you want to achieve with the White-Blues?
- I’d like to win the Ukrainian Premier League, play in the Champions League. I hope that will happen.
- What is your attitude to situation in Ukraine? Are you ready to protect your country with lethal force?
- Things which take place in our country are horrible. I don’t even want to think about war. I want everyone to remember people who were murdered at Independence Square. They are our heroes, just like Ukrainian soldiers in Crimea. I hope my son will live in a developed country and we have a chance for that. I’d like to wish everyone peace. Let’s pray for Ukraine.
