That’s where his way to big football started. When Valeriy was six he was accepted to FC Nistru football school.
In 2007 Boldenkov went to Ukrainian town of Volodymyr-Volynskyi to perform for local BRW-VIK. Valeriy managed to approve himself as supporting midfielder.
Young talent came to FC Dynamo Kyiv trial in spring of 2011. A year before that he got Ukrainian citizenship. At that moment he was a midfielder, but Olexandr Khatskevych decided to test him as centre back in the friendly against FC Arsenal Kyiv. Valeriy coped with his duties and then… returned to BRW-VIK to finish the Youth League season as centre back. After his team won bronze Boldenkov returned to Kyiv and signed a contract with Dynamo.
The start of his career with the White-Blues was terrible. In a month and a half after he joined the club he injured meniscus and tore crucial ligament. The injury left him outside the game for eight months. Thus Valeriy actually started working with Dynamo in summer of 2012.
Boldenkov made his debut for the White-Blues reserve team on July 13 2012. That day our team defeated FC Metalurh Donetsk reservists – 2:0 – and Valeriy played for only a minute.
Anyway in a while centre back started playing a lot and even was team captain quite often.
On March 26 2016 Boldenkov made his debut for FC Dynamo Kyiv main squad in a friendly against FC Olimpik Donetsk (0:2).
