Olexiy Mykhailychenko: “The team fought till the end”

- We were all looking forward to the second part of the season. Of course we hoped to play in different atmosphere. We lacked emotions as there were no supporters at the stadium. As for the game itself, first matches after training camps are always difficult. As for the quality of turf, although it’s okay for February, but still it’s far from perfect.

Speaking about Vorskla, it’s a different team than we saw last year. Yuriy Maxymov has managed to rebuild the squad. They’ve demonstrated really decent football.

The match was intense till the final whistle as we didn’t use chances we created. There were a lot of mistakes. Anyway, the team fought till the end and succeeded.

- Do you experience the lack of strikers?

- We don’t.

- Rusyn was your striker today. He’s had a good first part of the season, besides he was Dynamo best forward at the training camp. Shall we see Sol on the field again or maybe you believe Rusyn can make your attacks more effective?

- We’ll keep working. It’s hard to score when you don’t create chances. Guys work on their skills. We do our best at training sessions to score as many goals as possible. The fact that we create a lot of chances means we’re on the right track.

As for Sol and Rusyn, Fran also scored at the training camp. That’s natural competition for starting spot. I think both will have enough work in the second part of the season.

- Supporters picked Carlos de Pena as Dynamo best player last year. What does he lack to be the first team regular?

- As I’ve said, we have competition for place among first eleven. We have at least two decent performers in many positions. One should demonstrate what he’s capable of every time he takes the field. It doesn’t matter how long he plays – 5, 15 or 45 minutes.
