- We didn’t change anything in terms of training program before this game. I guess we just had a little bit more theory classes.
- How are Young Boys different from the team they were last year?
- We haven’t analyzed the team they were last year as three or four players have left Young Boys. Basic principles of their play are the same – orderly defense, many long balls and tall striker.
- Recently you made your debut as Dynamo coach in Ukrainian Super Cup and now you’re in for the Champions League debut. Which one is more exciting?
- You’re right, there’re many debuts. Some of them are history already. We’re in for two games against Young Boys and each will be exciting. Our strategy is about confident defense and effective attacking actions.
- You’ll have to perform on artificial turf in Switzerland…
- Let’s focus on the first leg so far. After it we’ll have domestic league game against FC Karpaty Lviv. I’ve talked to FC Shakhtar Donetsk coaches. They say they used to work on the artificial turf in Ukraine, but in Bern it’s totally different.
