FC Dynamo Kyiv midfielder Oleksandr Pikhalionok has commented upon the home game against FC Karpaty Lviv (2:0):
- It’s never easy after the winter break. How was it this time?
- You’re right, it wasn’t easy, but fortunately we won. We created a lot of chances in the first half, but didn’t use those. But after the break Mykhailenko and Vanat succeeded.
- One of the main concerns before the match was related to the quality of the turf, which in freezing weather could be pretty bad. How was it for you to play on this field?
- Frankly speaking the turf was awesome. I would like to thank all the staff taking care of it.
- Did the goal early in the second half boost your confidence?
- Sure. Things would have been much easier if we scored in the first half, but we didn’t. Anyway, when we opened the score we got more space.
- Next Friday you face Vorskla away. What do you expect?
- It’s always difficult against Vorskla, especially away. Their turf is usually far from perfect which can have its impact. But we won’t focus on that.
