FC Dynamo Kyiv player Oleksandr Karavayev has commented upon the away win against FC Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih (2:0).
- What difficulties did you face in preparing for the match? A long journey, the team spent the night in another city, getting to Kryvyi Rih on the day of the game...
- Of course, it’s a bit difficult, but these are the realities, you have to adapt to them. If there were no war, then there wouldn’t be such problems.
- Experts called the game against Kryvbas one of the key ones for Dynamo. Do you agree with this statement?
- Every game is key. The previous one against Livyi Bereh was also key. If we hadn’t won there, everything would have been different. The next match will be even more important. With each match it gets harder and harder, regardless of the opponent, because every team wants to take points away from us, and we strive to score the maximum.
- Did you aim to score early opener?
- There was no specific plan like that. We always aim to attack and defend orderly. We’ve got skillful forwards who can always create a chance.
- Andrii Yarmolenko has scored another one.
- You know his experience and skill. I’m glad I have a chance to play alongside such legends as Yarmolenko, Buialskyi.
- Some of the referee’s decisions were controversial, and they influenced the ending of the match...
- I don’t want to discuss refereeing, I understand that they also have a hard job. They make mistakes on the field, of course, just like players.
- You had to secure the score when the team got outnumbered. What’s vital in such situation?
- First of all, we had to show character and work for the teammate that was sent off, because we understood that a team like Kryvbas presses very well and attacks skillfully even in equal lineups, and having one player less, it was even more difficult against them.
- Was this the most emotional game for Dynamo in the second part of the season?
- At this stage, I guess it was.
