- Oleh, in what mood did you join the national team? Has the 9:1 win over FC Metalurh Donetsk improved your psychological state?
- I’m in good mood. Three points were vital for us and the score is not important. It’s always a pleasure to join the national team after wins.
- Are there any conflicts between FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk and FC Metalist Kharkiv players after the UPL matchday 12?
- They work together with no claims to each other.
- What did Ukraine lack to defeat England in September?
- Draw was a mediocre result for us. Before the game against England we were sure that we wouldn’t lose. Maybe British side underestimated us as we faced them in London, but in Kyiv the situation was different. They played very orderly.
- Do you agree that three teams in your group have chances to qualify for the World Cup?
- I think we deserve being in the first place. We played well against our main opponents.
I think the draw against Moldova was our main failure. We lack those two points. That’s why the game against Poland is of great importance.
- What can you say about the away match against Poland?
- We scored twice early in the game and when they came to their senses it was too late to change anything. Now they know what we can and that’s why the game in Kharkiv will be more difficult than in Warsaw.
- What can help Ukraine defeat Poland?
- Kharkiv fans can support the native team very well. As for Poland, they have good forwards, such as Robert Lewandowski. Our teamwork and dedication can help us defeat them.
