- What are your expectations of the home match?
- I hope we’ll achieve the result that will let us go to England in fine fettle.
- Is the team ready for the second part of current season?
- Official fixtures differ from training sparrings. One can lose every sparring at the training camp and then succeed throughout the season and vice versa. We’re in combative mood, but only the game will clear the air.
- Dynamo have had a lot of sparrings. Is that enough for players to find common ground on the field?
- We don’t have a lot of newcomers, so there are no innovations. We played sparrings to recall game connections. I think the game practice we’ve got is enough for that.
- City lost two vital domestic league games – against Leicester and against Tottenham. Was that surprising for you?
- It wasn’t. I knew the Citizens won only one game against the top six. Anyway the Champions League is a totally different competition.
- What are your reminiscences about the battle against Manchester City in 2011?
- Of course those are good memories as we outplayed this team. At home we won 2:0. In EnglandCity player was sent off in the first half, but still it was difficult to oppose them.
- Dynamo won’t play behind closed doors. Is that advantage for your team?
- Of course it is! When we played against Maccabi behind closed doors it didn’t even feel like official game. I’m glad UEFA has let us play in front of our fans.
