He saw such performers as Shevchenko, Shovkovskyi, Vashchuk, Fedorov, Zozulia and Bohdanov growing up. His task is very important: not to let coaches and young players face any problems. About thirty employees work to fulfill this task.
- We’ve created all necessary conditions for our trainees. We have two pitches (one of them with synthetic turf) and the main building of the Academy.
- How did the Academy look before the reconstruction which took place ten years ago?
- At first there was athletic training ground on our territory. In 1953 Kyiv authorities granted it Dynamo sports society. Main squad used to train here till 1967.
Our history is important for us. I think kids should know who to look up to.
- More than four hundred children train at the Academy. Are two pitches enough for them?
- That’s not enough. We also use Koncha-Zaspa training complex pitches.
- Sixty children live at the Academy the year round. Don’t you worry for their security?
- Strangers can’t enter the Academy without special pass. We also have security service. It’s forbidden for children to leave the territory after 10 p.m.
- What would you like to improve at the training facility?
- We need sprinkler system. Actually there are more plans and some of them are being put into life.
