Dynamo defending midfielder Taras Mykhalyk as well as the club’s doctors do not rush Taras’s return to the pitch. The most recent “verdict” is a week of jogging.
“I have been out of action through knee injury. I had not healed my old injury and this made things worse. I take time to come back to the field but hopefully I will be fit for the Ukrainian Cup matches [Dec 5 and Dec 8 vs. Tavriya]”.
Things are not looking so promising for the Dynamo other soccer player Pape Diakhaté. The Senegalese international, which picked up an injury last weekend in the game vs. Shakhtar, underwent a surgery in Belgium Nov 15.
After leaving hospital this Monday, the defender went with his family to Nancy on a two-week vacation. Pape will come back to training no sooner than in January to prepare for spring matches.
Alas, the player will also miss the 2008 African Cup of Nations finals to run the same month. Dynamo will thus delegate only Ismaël Bangoura (Guinea), Badr El Kaddouri (Morocco) and Ayila Yussuf (Nigeria) to the continent’s flagship tournament.
