Our national team players, head coach Mykhailo Fomenko and assistant coaches Volodymyr Onyshchenko and Andriy Shevchenko walked out on the stage to ovation of thousands of people.
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko took the floor to address to our performers and fans. He stated that he’s happy to see Ukraine among 24 best national teams of Europe.
Football Federation of Ukraine President Andriy Pavelko stated that the team can always count on support of fans, especially of counter-terrorism operation soldiers.
After the ceremony the national team left for Italy to have a training camp and sparrings against Romania (May 29) and Albania (June 3).
Ukraine will play the first Euro-2016 game against Germany on June 12.
