Nikita was born on March 6 1995 in Minsk in the family of signal operators (his parents still work for phone company). As a kid he was fond of football and joined FC Dinamo Minsk academy. On November 17 2012, when he was 17, Nikita made his debut for the main squad of the club. At that moment FC Dynamo Kyiv famous former striker Oleh Protasov was in charge of the team.
Nikita has been a supporting midfielder since childhood: “I always admired Gattuso and even had a shirt with his name! He could dispossess any player and was my idol”.
In 2013 Korzun became Dynamo Minsk leader despite serious crucial ligament injury. Many players finish their career after that, but it wasn’t the case for Nikita.
He recovered and in 2015 made 32 appearances for his team (including 10 UEFA Europa League matches). He was fearless and dispossessed opponents in his zone six times per game on average. “He’s one of those, who can go for sliding tackle with his head”, - stated Dinamo Minsk assistant coach Sergei Pawlyukovich. “Nikita is a true warrior. It’s great there are such performers in Belarus. I hope he won’t suffer from injuries any more. This guy has promising future”, - said famous Belarusan player Alexander Hleb, who used to feature for Arsenal FC and FC Barcelona.
FC Dynamo Kyiv well-known former player Olexandr Khatskevych, who’s Belarus national team head coach today, has told about Korzun’s characteristic feature: “He always fights till the end. That’s why he dispossesses opponents a lot. In 2015 he was one of Belarus youth team leaders and in March of 2016 he’ll be called up to the national team”.
Well, they speak really well of the talented newcomer of our club. Now Nikita Korzun should prove they’re right and he wasn’t to do that: “FC Dynamo Kyiv gaffer Serhiy Rebrov uses me on my usual position and tells how I must act. I’ll do whatever it takes do demonstrate my best qualities as soon as possible. I want to play and fight for Dynamo honor!”
