- Miguel, do you remember your first days in Kyiv? What did you think of back then? Whom did you communicate with?
- Of course I remember those days. They gave me a hearty welcome here. Teammates did their best to make me feel comfortable in the new club. Most of all I communicated with Artem Milevskyi, Taras Mykhalyk, Maxym Koval and Andriy Yarmolenko.
- Have you found true friends in the team?
- You know what kind of person I am. I try to be benevolent with everyone. I respect our team including players, coaches and staff.
- You don’t speak Ukrainian and Russian. Does it mean you don’t communicate with Ukrainians a lot?
- Not at all. For example, I used to communicate with Maxym Koval a lot. Still mostly we spoke English. Anyway I can have a breezy conversation with any player.
- Can you tell any funny episode that happened at one of your training sessions?
- One can’t tell media about that (smiling). Actually training session isn’t appropriate time for jokes. We’re totally focused on work. We have very strict coaches (smiling). Still when training session is over we can relax and laugh.
- You’ve scored a lot of spectacular goals. Which one is the most important?
- Goal is what we all aim for in football. None of them must be underestimated. All of them are important to me in a way. I guess it’s up to fans to decide which goals are more spectacular and important than others.
- Are you satisfied with the way your career develops? Did you want to achieve more by this time?
- I don’t think 30 years is some special milestone. It’s never too late to learn something new and I always aim for that. I’m talking not only about football, but also about everyday life.
- Do you have any special aim like winning the Champions League or European Championship?
- I’m just focused on the nearest future and I try to do my work properly. The current season is finished? so we’ll have some rest and then there will be new challenges.
- Did you ever regret joining FC Dynamo Kyiv?
- I didn’t as we’ve reached some success in the Champions League, Europa League and domestic competitions. I’m happy I decided to be the part of this team one day.
