110th year of existence
The match thousands of Dynamo supporters are going to follow with excitement will take place at StamfordBridge. The Blues have been featuring here for 110 years already!
Starting with 1877 there was athletics ground here, but in 1905 the facility found new owner – Chelsea FC. The thing is that Fulham FC refused to buy the stadium and the Pensioners used this opportunity.
Decay and resurrection
StamfordBridge could have been destroyed if it was sold to development company in late 1970s.
Fans helped to defend the stadium. In 2001 it was reconstructed and thus changed a bit. Now it’s not oval, but square cut.
Today Chelsea FC ground has the capacity of 41,841 seats. It’s a part of complex that occupies the area of five hectares. The complex also includes two hotels, five restaurants, conference halls, night- and sports clubs, business centre and parking lot.
