On Tuesday, July 12, FC Dynamo Kyiv played two friendlies against the French side Olympique Lyonnais to get ready for the Champions League qualifiers.
In the first one, mostly non-regular first team players took the field for both sides. Dynamo won 3:1. Goals were scored by Denys Antiukh, Vladyslav Supriaha and Vikentiy Voloshyn. In the second game the situation was different.
Dynamo created their best chance in the first half early in the game. Buialskyi attempted with a bicycle kick after cross by Tsyhankov, but missed just a bit.
Then the home side took the situation under control. Toko Ekambi could put Lyon in front, but Bushchan managed to clear his strike. Faivre appeared in a great position in front of the goal, but missed.
After the first half Mircea Lucescu made some substitutions. Left back Dubinchak replaced Buialskyi, Karavayev took the position of right winger while Tsyhankov took place of Buialskyi.
Although Dynamo tried to apply pressure, Lyon were doing better and eventually succeeded in the 52nd minute. After cross from the corner flag, Bushchan parried the header by Thiago Mendes and Castello Lukeba was the first with a follow-up – 1:0.
Karavayev could equalize after cross from Dubinchak, but missed the near corner. Verbic attempted from distance, but didn’t succeed either.
Halfway through the second half Peter Bosz made a number of substitutions which turned out to be effective. Lyon youngsters scored twice within three minutes. Philippe Boueye hit the upper V spectacularly while Sekou Lega increased the lead in one-on-one situation.
So, it’s 3:0 for Lyon.
