Ukraine Under-21 team won the Valeriy Lobanovskyy Memorial tournament in Kiev after overcoming Turkish coevals 1-0 in the final on Wednesday 12 August. The only goal of the match was scored from the penalty spot by the team’s captain Mykola Morozyuk. It is noteworthy that the Blue-Yellows won the trophy for the first time since 2005, when the youth national teams started taking part in the competition. Third place went to Germany U-21 as they defeated the Iranians 1:0.
