Europa League state of affairs
Dynamo are last, 36th, in the Europa League table after four matchdays.
Besides, the White-Blues haven’t scored a single goal in the competition yet. As you know, Kyivans have lost against Lazio (0:3), Roma (0:1), Hoffenheim (0:2) and Ferencvarosi (0:4).
Viktoria, on the contrary, haven’t suffered a single defeat in the Europa League yet. They’re 16th in the table with one win and three draws.
The Czech side drew against Eintracht (3:3), Ludogorets (0:0) and PAOK (2:2) after which beat Real Sociedad at home ground (2:1).
2023/24 season
Dynamo
- Dynamo finished second in the Ukrainian Premier League last season with two points behind Shakhtar. The White-Blues won 22 games, lost 3 and drew 5 times (goal difference – 72:28).
- Kyivans tumbled out of the Ukrainian Cup in the round of 16 as they narrowly lost against Obolon.
- The previous euro cups campaign ended for the White-Blues in summer as they were outplayed by Besiktas in the Conference League play-off round.
Viktoria
- Last season Viktoria Plzen finished third in domestic league table with Sparta and Slavia ahead.
- Viktoria reached the national cup final, but lost against Sparta Prague.
- Plzen side reached the Conference League quarterfinal where they lost against Fiorentina.
Domestic state of affairs
Dynamo are top of the Ukrainian Premier League table after 13 games played with two points ahead of Oleksandria.
Viktoria Plzen are second in domestic league after 15 matchdays with 8 points behind Slavia Prague.
Both sides keep competing for the national cups.
Face to face
Dynamo and Viktoria haven’t faced each other in euro cups yet. However the two sides have played a number of friendlies. Dynamo won one of those (2:0) while two more ended in a draw (0:0, 1:1).
Dynamo current gaffer Oleksandr Shovkovskyi played in the friendly against Viktoria in Spain in February of 2015 as well as Andrii Yarmolenko and Vitalii Buialskyi.
In summer of the same year Dynamo and Viktoria faced each other again. Kyivans’ current assistant coach Oleh Husiev and Vitalii Buialskyi performed in that game.
