On December 8, FC Dynamo Kyiv will play their final 2021/2022 euro cups match. The White-Blues will face SL Benfica away in the Champions League group stage matchday 6 game. The match will start at 22:00 Kyiv time at the Estadio da Luz.

Benfica
Benfica finished only third in the domestic league last season, so they had to go through two qualifying rounds to reach the group stage. Jorge Jesus’ men outplayed FC Spartak Moscow (2:0 away, 2:0 at home) and PSV (2:1 at home, 0:0 away).
Lisbon side men started the group stage with goalless draw in Kyiv after which they flattened Barcelona at home ground. Then they suffered two lopsided defeats against Bayern.
Having played in a draw at the Camp Nou in the matchday 5 game, Benfica still have chances to qualify for play-off stage. They need to beat Dynamo and hope that Barcelona don’t win against Bayern.
Dynamo
As far as Dynamo have won the 2020/2021 Ukrainian Premier League, they started the Champions League campaign with group stage. Kyivans’ first match on European arena was against Benfica (0:0). Then the White-Blues lost against Bayern away (0:5), suffered two 0:1 defeats against Barcelona and one more against Bayern (1:2).
After five matchdays, the White-Blues don’t have any chance to feature in euro cups in spring. They’ll definitely finish fourth in the group.

Benfica
Lisbon side injured players are defender Lucas Veríssimo, forwards Rodrigo Pinho and Nemanja Radonjic.
Dynamo
Centre back Denys Popov and Artem Besedin are still recovering from injuries.
DOMESTIC LEAGUES
Benfica
Before the match against Dynamo, Benfica suffered home defeat against one of their major rivals in battle for the league title – Sporting (1:3). Now they’re third in the league table with Porto and Sporting 4 points ahead.
In the Portuguese Cup round of 16 Benfica will face Porto.
Dynamo
The White-Blues are second in the UPL table before the final match of the year. They have the same number of points as Shakhtar, but their goal difference is one goal worse.
As for the Ukrainian Cup, Kyivans have reached the quarterfinal.
