FC Dynamo Kyiv first official game of the year was the UEFA Europa League round of 32 first leg against AEK Athens FC that took place in the capital of Greece.
The start of the game was quite tough for the White-Blues. At first Denys Harmash was hit by Denys Boiko inside the box and got a cut. In a couple of minutes Yevhen Khacheridi got a booking.
Still 19 minutes into the game Derlis Gonzalez muscled his way down the right and sent a low cross into the penalty area which Viktor Tsyhankov calmly side-footed in.
After the break homes side got more active while Dynamo were keeping the lower profile.
80 minutes into the game AEK managed to equalize. Christodoulopoulos took a free kick and hit the wall at first, but then obtained the ball again, put a cross over Boiko and Ajdarevic hit the open goal with a header.
In a week the decisive game will take place at the NSC Olimpiyskyi in Kyiv.
