The most peculiar feature about Dynamo starting lineup was the return of Josip Pivaric, who made it into first eleven for the first time in a year and a half. Boiko replaced Bushchan. Karavayev, Duelund, Verbic, de Pena and Sol also took the field.
Visitors managed to score the early opener. Karavayev found Duelund inside home side penalty area and Mikkel hit the far bottom corner.
Later Mynai keeper Popovych fouled against Duelund and referee awarded penalty for the White-Blues. Fran Sol attempted from the spot, but missed.
Anyway Kyivans managed to double the score. Andriyevskyi found Duelund with a decent pass, Mikkel eluded Popovych and hit the open goal.
Mynai had some pretty good counterattacks. They were quite active early in the second half and didn’t lose hope to reach the cup final. In the 52nd minute Verbic made it 3:0, but after checking VAR Kateryna Monzul cancelled his goal.
60 minutes into the game Ibrahim Kargbo substituted Fran Sol and thus made his debut for the White-Blues in official games.
Viktor Tsyhankov, who made a substitute appearance too, also had chances. For example, Mynai keeper parried his shot from 16-meter distance.
Dynamo had more opportunities to increase the lead. Buialskyi rushed into the box, eluded goalkeeper, but slipped and failed to score.
In a stoppage time Orynchak attempted from outside the box, but the post saved Dynamo.
So, it’s 2:0 which means that Kyivans reach the Ukrainian Cup final! The match is supposed to take place on July 8 at the Arena-Lviv.
