Kolos – Dynamo – 0:3. Post-match press conference of Mircea Lucescu

- This was the game of two sides that didn’t need points, but have ambitions. Last year Dynamo lost against Kolos while this season played in a draw twice. I knew the match would be tough.

We did better in the second half. First of all, in terms of organization. Besides, our players took the floor individually. The season is over only now.

- Andriyevskyi was walking on crutches. What’s wrong with him?

- Neither Andriyevskyi nor Shepelev will participate in the Ukrainian Cup final. Both are injured. I hope they’ll recover by the training camp. Thus midfield was bothering me today. We had two supporting midfielders left – Sydorchuk and Shaparenko. When Shaparenko fell and couldn’t get up for a while, I decided to substitute him.

- How will you be getting ready for the Cup final?

 - This win was important from the point of view of mentality. We’ll face a really good team that also features in euro cups. Zoria are doing pretty well on European arena. We’ll fight against really tough opponent.

- This was the last season of U21 League. What do you think of that? Won’t that complicate things for such youngsters as Vanat?

- It’s a very difficult period. You need to be careful bringing players up when they’re 19-21. Not every team can afford using only youngsters as certain results must be achieved. For example, Kolos had 5-6 players, who’re over 30, today. These are experienced performers. One shouldn’t send young players to some lower league as that’s adult football.

Vanat has won the U21 League strikers’ competition, but it’s hard for him to make this step. In adult football you oppose mature men. That’s a difficult stage of the training process, when coach needs to integrate youngsters into the team.
