On Monday, February 21, FC Dynamo Kyiv played their final friendly at the third winter training camp. The White-Blues faced champions of Latvia – FK RFS.
Kyivans rushed forward right away and started creating chances. Buialskyi missed just a little bit from the penalty area line, goalkeeper parried the shot by Shaparenko.
Meanwhile RFS turned their first opportunity into goal. Referee awarded free kick for the Latvian side and Mares took it perfectly – 0:1.
Besedin had a great chance to equalize in the 40th minute, but the ball went wide after his attempt.
After the break Dynamo continued the pressure and eventually succeeded. At first Vanat equalized with a follow-up after Vitinho’s shot. And then Shaparenko scored from inside the box after low cross from Tsyhankov.
Karavayev unleashed decent strike from distance, but goalkeeper saved RFS spectacularly. Shots by Shaparenko and Harmash were blocked. Anyway, the score didn’t change any more.
Dynamo win 2:1 which means they haven’t suffered a single defeat at winter training camps. They won 12 friendlies out of 15 and played in a draw three times.
