FC Dynamo Kyiv defender Illia Zabarnyi has told about the traditional medical examination and shared his expectations of the upcoming training camp in Spain and the second part of the season.
- Happy holidays to everyone. I’m glad to be back. I missed my teammates and football. I think it’s time to get back to work. I missed training sessions even during vacation as I’ve got used to this rhythm.
- How did you keep fit not to get overweight?
- One should take care of himself. Before the vacation doctors gave us a list of exercises we had to do. We’re all professionals, so we did.
- Did you keep any diet?
- No, I was eating what I usually do on holidays. I’ll just have to work a bit harder later (smiling).
- Was the medical examination standard or maybe there were some procedures you didn’t like?
- Actually everything was fine. I’ve been having such examinations since the Academy times.
- The team will have three training camps which make a month and a half in total. Are you ready for that?
- I guess we are. We had similar experience with Euro-2020 as we had long training camp before the contest too. There will be short breaks between these training camps, so I think everything will be fine.
- What do you expect of Dynamo defense now that Mykolenko has left?
- I wish Vitaliy good luck. He’s shown what it takes to play in European top league. That’s very important for youngsters.
- Do Dynamo players study English?
- (smiling) All in good time. My English is pretty fine.
