The White-Blues president Ihor Surkis has shared his impressions of the drawing.
- Well, we could get such opponents as Barcelona, Bayern or Real Madrid. Of course those teams look more serious, but we don’t know what their conditions are early in the season.
As four our group, all teams look quite equal. Anyway our task is to get out of the group. It’s possible to oppose any club. FC Dnipro proved that as they faced Napoli in the Europa League. We must demonstrate our best qualities, follow the game plan and be focused.
- The contest will start with domestic fixture against Napoli for Dynamo…
- Last year we also started and finished our group stage campaign in Kyiv. The schedule is absolutely acceptable. It’s important to start with positive emotions. I hope our fans will come to the stadium and support us. I also hope they will behave properly to avoid problems we had last year.
- Will Dynamo sign new players or let someone else go by the transfer window closure?
- Transfer campaign is almost over, but we’d like to enforce our defense. We did our best to persuade Dragovic stay, but at this moment it’s better for his career to join Bayer. This transfer is beneficial for our club from financial point of view. We don’t want to sign any Tom, Dick or Harry and close the door to main squad for youngsters. For example, today Dnipro prove that in three-four years they’ll be a really good team. I hope other leaders of our club will stay in Kyiv. Still if we get any transfer offers we’ll discuss them with players.
