- It’s been five years since the title was in Kyiv last time and now it’s finally here! First of all I congratulate our fans, who supported the team. This victory should be shared with them. Still the season is on and we’ll try to put golden medals into the Ukrainian Cup.
- Did the fact that victory would let Dynamo become champions create psychological pressure?
- We had a serious gap between us and runners-up. Our players just wanted to win in the hearing of 50 thousand fans. Dnipro have focused on the Europa League final which is natural. If they succeed they’ll qualify for the Champions League group stage. Still Dnipropetrovsk side featured worthily in this game as those, who lay claims on starting spots, tried to approve themselves. I hope Dnipro will win the Europa League on May 27.
- This is not the first vital goal Domagoj Vida scores…
- We should praise the whole team. Each player struggled till the final whistle. They knew they would win the title, but wanted to draw the line in this game. That’s why they were a bit nervous. Sill Domagoj really scores in very important matches. He’s a true warrior. All our performers are.
- Is Serhiy Rebrov the inspirer of this triumph?
- Sure. He was a successful player and aimed for victory in every competition. Now he’s a coach with the same approach. This is the start of his career and I wish him to keep this up. Of course there will be runs of bad luck, but he should be able to cope with them. On May 30 we’ll celebrated the triumph in the league at the stadium and invite artists. After that we’ll forget about the title and try to gladden our fans next season.
- Is your aim to win the national cup now?
- We really want that and we’ll do our best to reach this goal. After the end of the season we’ll celebrate our achievements.
