After the match he shared his impressions:
- My goal? Yarmolenko put a cross and I didn’t miss. Maybe I was a bit lucky. I was happy to score.
- Do you practice such shots?
- Sometimes. We often stay on the field after training sessions with Yarmolenko. He puts crosses and I try to score. He says I should prove I didn’t score accidentally (smiling).
- Did you know you were nominee for this award?
- I did. I’m really glad as this is my first award of the kind. I’ll try to keep scoring.
- You applied serious pressure opposing Dnipro. Was that game plan?
- It was. We owed our fans as we lost against ManchesterCity and drew against Oleksandria. Opposing Dnipro we fulfilled the game plan and won deservedly.
- Why did you quarrel with Roman Zozulia?
- He kicked me from behind, but said he didn’t foul. That’s all about emotions. As for me, I have three bookings and if I got another one I would miss the next game.
- How difficult was it to defend against Dnipro?
- I guess Dnipro had only one scoring chance – due to my mistake. I can’t say it was very difficult to defend.
- Could you imagine you wouldn’t win two games in a row?
- I couldn’t. We took the game against Dnipro very seriously as they are really worthy team. We understand each other better game after game.
- There were only 14 thousand fans at the stadium. Is that disappointing?
- It is. I thought there would be 25-30 thousand. I hope if we keep playing well there will be more fans at the stadium.
