Dynamo snapped a 3-0 home victory over Zorya Luhansk, remaining second in the league table, with rivals Shakhtar one point adrift.
Animated in the forward line throughout the encounter, Dynamo could have bagged more goals than the number recorded on the scoresheet. The opener, however, did not arrive until the 30th minute. Ghioane laid the ball for Milevskyy and the striker, after turning away from a defender, lobbed the ball over the goalkeeper.
The opponent, it seemed, spared no effort to level off, and it was Semin’s men who kept creating scoring opportunities. The result of multiple passes and cross came fifteen minutes after the first goal. Milevskyy’s cross found Aliyev, a regular in recent matches, and he applied an elegant finish, netting the ball into under the bar from eleven meters.
The hosts carried on with their confident display after the restart. Shatskikh, within a minute, blundered twice. Aliyev missed the target, blowing tow further opportunities. It was just not going his way. The guests produced a response with a couple of dangerous counterattacks, but Lutsenko reacted timely to make a save and Zorya Antonov sent his shot wide.
The White-Blues extended the lead no sooner than in the closing minutes. Kravets bustled into the area from the right, and, although appearing to pass onto Milevskyy, curled the shot into the near corner. The ball hit the post, then into Tlumak’s back before finally sneaking into the net.
