Austrian referee Konrad Plautz has been appointed to take charge of the Champions League Group G match between Dynamo (Kyiv) and FC Porto (Portugal) at the Lobanovskyy Dynamo stadium on Wednesday. He will be accompanied by three compatriots – assistant referees Bernhard Zauner and Raimund Buch, and fourth official Thomas Steiner.
Konrad Plautz, born in the Alpine town of Navis on 16 October 1964, took up refereeing as a teenager, at the age of 20. He received his FIFA badge in 1996 and, in that same year, was chosen to handle the European Under-16 Championship final in Vienna. At present, he manages to combine his physical activity with the roles of director and actor for a local theatrical group.
