Dynamo Kyiv lost 2-0 and won 1-0 to Russian side Krylia Sovetov (Samara) in their two warm-up friendly matches before this week’s UEFA Cup return leg against Spanish opponents Valencia CF. Both games took place in the training camp in Marbella on Sunday 22 February.
The first trial game ended in the Kyivers’ narrow one-goal victory. The only goal of the match was scored by Andriy Yarmolenko in the 40th minute. After the break, the forward took the initiative and netted with a powerful left-foot shot, giving his side the lead. Russian team, however, managed to take revenge in the second fixture on the same day with a 2-0 win thanks to a goal in each half from Belozerov and Escobar.
