FC Dynamo Kyiv have extended the loan deal of FC Lokomotiv (Moscow) defender Malkhaz Asatiani following the injury of Dynamo full-back Pape Diakhaté.
The Senegalese player picked up a knee injury last Friday during a friendly match against FC Rubin (Kazan) and left the pitch with the help of doctors. On 14 February the 24-year-old will depart for Belgium and will undergo a scan to examine the extent of the injury. If necessary, Pape will have a surgery. The defender is likely to be out of action for three or four months.
Malkhaz Asatiani has spent the first half of the season in Kyiv and agreed to prolong his loan spell at Dynamo until 31 May 2009. The 27-year-old will join the team in Spain and will start training as soon as possible.
