Tiberiu Ghioane’s 70th-minute goal clinched a 2-1 home victory for Dynamo Kyiv against FC Dnipro, who played much of the Ukrainian Premier League Matchday 26 game with 10 men.
Dynamo Kyiv were substantially weakened by injury and suspension. Key-striker Andriy Shevchenko was not included in the squad because of an ankle injury, while Dynamo captain Artem Milevskyy was serving the second match of a two-game ban after picking up eight yellow cards this season.
Valeriy Gazzaev's men fell behind to Yevhen Konoplyanka's goal midway through the first half, but equalised thanks to Brazilian midfielder Gérson Magrão five minutes into the second half and grabbed the winner, when Thiberiu Ghioane sent Taras Mykhalyk's pass into the net with just one touch.
