Yuriy Semin’s side managed to snatch a 2-1 victory at FC Dnipro in a rather uneventful league match on Sunday.
The White-Blues started the game with three forwards Bangoura-Milevskyy-Yarmolenko. However, both sides demonstrated little attacking intent in the first half. The game really came to life in the closing stages. Pape Diakhaté did eventually break the deadlock on 79 minutes when he nodded in Florin Cernat’s free-kick from close range. It was the Senegalese's first goal for Dynamo.
Things got worse for the visiting team when Romanian midfielder Cernat doubled the home side's advantage in the 90th minute. Rusol's injury-time goal brought scant consolation for FC Dnirpo. Andriy made no mistake, heading powerfully the corner past Bogush, but it was not enough to prevent the Dnipropetrovsk from dropping points.
