The Commonwealth of Independent States Cup quarter-final lineup has been confirmed with Dynamo-2 among the last eight.
The Kyivers came through the group stage with three wins from three matches following a 4-2 victory over HTTU Ashgabat (Turkmenistan) on Tuesday. In an eventful encounter Dynamo-2 showed a lot of character and earned confident win thanks to goals from Andriy Sakhnevych, Yevhen Novak Volodymyr Koval and Yevhen Morozenko. The team had previously defeated Russia Under-21 reserve squad 1-0 and FC Levadia Tallinn (Estonia) 1-0 in the Russian capital, Moscow. Thus, the Ukrainian team collected maximum points and finished top of the table.
In the quarter-final match, the young White-Blues will face group D runners-up FK Ekranas from Lithuania. The game will take place on Wednesday, 20 January, at the Olimpiyskiy stadium in Moscow.
