For the first time Yakov faced FC Dynamo Kyiv in 1989 when he arranged the White-Blues match against Israel national team though this country and USSR had no diplomatic relations at that moment.
Yakov Gershenzon has been Dynamo friend and partner since then. He arranged about ten training camps in Israel for the White-Blues. In 2011 he made another Kyivans’ friendly against Israel national team possible.
