Special event for the White-Blues was the debut appearance of the defender Artem Shabanov.
The first half was quite dull. Both sides had once chance which wasn’t enough. The battle mostly took place in the midfield.
So, the first half ended in a goalless draw.
Early in the second half FC Zoria Luhansk were much more active than FC Dynamo Kyiv and succeeded. Kharatin hit the target from inside the box. Olexandr Khatskevych reacted immediately: Shaparenko and Verbic took the field.
In several minutes Benjamin headed the ball in after cross from the left wing – 1:1. Kyiv side kept attacking, but suffered from another counterattack.
After several Dynamo mistakes in the penalty area Hromov unleashed a shot which would have been a failure but for Iury, who sent the ball into the net.
Zoria moved back and Dynamo managed to equalize again. Moraes found Tsyhankov inside the box and Viktor hit the far corner.
Both sides aimed to win and Dynamo eventually did.
In a stoppage time Tsyhankov took a corner and Kedziora headed the ball in – 3:2.
