From the very beginning of the Mundial qualifying round 15 players represented FC Dynamo Kyiv in different national teams!
Of course, the biggest number of the White-Blues featured for Ukraine. Six Kyivans struggled for the right of our team to perform in the finals.
Halfbacks Andriy Yarmolenko (979 minutes played, 5 goals, 4 assists) and Oleh Husiev (745 minutes played, 1 goal, 2 assists, 1 booking) took the field in every qualifier including the playoffs (12).
Yevhen Khacheridi (767 minutes played, 3 goals, 1 assist, 4 bookings, 1 red card) and Roman Bezus (187 minutes played, 3 goals) made nine appearances each.
Denys Harmash featured in 4 fixtures (1 goal, 2 bookings) and Artem Milevskyi – in one.
Three Dynamo performers qualified for the World Cup finals with Croatia national team.
Halfback Ognjen Vukojevic made 7 appearances for the Blazers (4 bookings) and defender Domagoj Vida – 6.
Halfback Niko Kranjcar got four caps to his name being Dynamo player and two more after he signed a loan agreement with QPR (1 goal).
Midfielder Miguel was Portugal key performer throughout the qualifying round.
He made 12 appearances (1 assist, 1 booking).
The Netherlands went through the qualification very easily. Forward Jeremain Lens took the field in 4 fixtures as the White-Bleus representative (1 goal, 3 assists).
Switzerland also won their group. Swiss striker Admir Mehmedi featured for his team in two matches as Dynamo performer.
Austria didn’t manage to reach the finals just like Ukraine. Defender Aleksandar Dragovic took part in four games before he was signed by Kyivans and in four more after that.
Nigeria will feature in Brazil. Finisher Brown Ideye made 4 appearances in qualification, but he wasn’t added to the Super Eagles’ players’ list for the Mundial.
Morocco will also miss the 2014 World Cup. Halfback Younes Belhanda performed in 2 qualifiers before he joined Dynamo and in one after that.
