On Monday, June 23, the vacation for Dynamo first team players ended. On this day, Kyivans met at the Dobrobut clinic, where they underwent a scheduled medical examination, which has long become not only mandatory, but also a usual and traditional event that takes place twice a year before the start of the training process and upcoming training camps.
From the very morning, players gathered at Dobrobut and began a procedure that has become familiar to them over the years. It should be noted that several youth squad players had medical examinations along with the first team, as well as some of the players who were performed for Ukraine U21 at the Euro-2025, although the coaching staff gave them a little more time off. In addition, Ukraine national team players who participated in a friendly tournament in Canada will undergo medical examinations a bit later.
Players underwent a full range of tests, took turns visiting the offices of different specialists – therapist, cardiologist, ophthalmologist, traumatologist, neuropathologist, otolaryngologist, and others, and had their blood pressure and anthropometric data measured.
The White-Blues also did laboratory tests and various very thorough examinations – cardiogram, ultrasound of internal organs, in particular the thyroid gland, abdominal cavity and heart, osteodensitometry, duplex scanning of the vessels of the brain, neck and others.
While waiting in line, they actively exchanged news and impressions from their vacation, hugged, discussed plans for the coming working days and the consequences of the massive nighttime shelling of Kyiv by russian terrorists.
The results of the examination will be processed within a few days, after which they will be transferred to the club doctors. Other functional studies and tests can be carried out directly at the club training facility, where there are all the necessary conditions and equipment. But it’s already clear that, according to preliminary data, all Dynamo players are ready for a busy pre-season.
Anatolii Zhuchka, the club doctor, told in detail about the medical examination at Dobrobut:
- Today, medical examination was conducted mainly for those players who weren’t involved in the national teams, while the rest will undergo this procedure on June 26. Although several internationals decided to arrive today to get through it earlier.
Everything is as usual, nothing changes, the guys go through the same specialists and examinations as always, this procedure has been practiced to the point of automatism, and the algorithm of actions has already been worked out for years. I see that everyone arrived in a good mood and are diligently undergoing the medical examination. Fortunately, as of now, no one has any health problems. Only minor issues with the tests after vacation are possible if someone didn’t stick to the diet, but after the training process starts, these little things usually disappear.
I noticed that this time the guys showed remarkable organization: before they had to be helped and distributed to offices, but today they managed everything themselves, didn’t create queues, they were even almost invisible in the corridors (smiling).
If necessary, we can do additional examinations at the training ground now or when we return after the training camp. In general, we monitor the condition of all players in turn throughout the year, and at training camps in particular. These are test examinations that allow us to see what functional state the players are in. The information is transmitted to the coaching staff, who, based on the results, can make certain adjustments, if necessary.
It should be noted that on Monday afternoon, after completing the medical examination, players will gather at the club’s training facility in Vita-Lytovska and hold their first training session. Dynamo will be training in Kyiv for a while, after which they’ll leave for the training camp in Austria on June 28, which will last until July 19.
