Just like Serhiy Rybalka, he won the European youth championship in 2009.
On October 7 2011 he made his debut for Ukraine national team in a friendly against Bulgaria (3:0).
After that Harmash took part in the Euro-2016 finals, 2014 World Cup and Euro-2016 qualifying campaigns.
Denys missed the first part of previous qualification due to injury, but still he’s made a strong contribution into the Yellow-Blues success. He made six appearances and scored one goal. His best games were against Belarus (3:1) and Slovenia (2:0).
Still Denys has paid special attention to away fixture against Spain: “Considering how many chances we created, it was our best match. We had opportunities to equalize and even win, but were unlucky”.
Generally Harmash (height – 187 cm, weight – 77 kg) was creative and spirited as usually and was punished for that by referees sometimes.
Matches for his native country are always special for Denys: “I don’t need extra motivation to perform for Ukraine. There’s good atmosphere in the team. Players know each other really well”.
Now it’s time to give fans a floor so that they could estimate the play Denys Harmash demonstrates.
Potentially he’s the player of Gerrard’s level. He’s a true fighter and he proved that at the Euro-2012. Still lots of injuries have let him down. Last four years weren’t special. I guess the forthcoming contest is his last chance to make a step forward.
Whale for work!
Tiger!
My favorite Dynamo and Ukraine player. Real warrior. I love Denys)
Den, you’re already the role model for youngsters. Be yourself at the Euro-2016 and fight for every ball. Demonstrate your character and prove that Harmash has come to Euro for victory!
I think Denys is the best Ukrainian halfback! I can’t imagine the starting lineup without him. I hope he’ll show the whole Europe his potential!
