That’s how he recalls years he spent with the White-Blues:
- The potential of that team was incredible. Lobanovskyi made the best use of us. I played as defender and as midfielder sometimes. Everyone was in the right place.
Unfortunately in 1977 I suffered muscle rupture. We were in for important match against FC Torpedo Moscow, so doctor made several injections and I took the field. After that I came out of action for a long period of time.
