- A lot of Dynamo fans followed AFCON. How did you celebrate the victory?
- In general we celebrated about 3 days. A lot of fans came to the airport to congratulate us. On February 12 we met the President of Nigeria in Abuja. It was unforgettable days for every of us.
- What does this win mean to you?
- It’s my firs trophy of such a great value but I’m sure it’s not the last. I hope to win a lot both with Dynamo Kyiv and Nigeria.
- Who was the first to congratulate you on such a significant victory?
- That was my wife. It was not easy because we were so exited in the dressing room.
- Lukman Haruna and Taye Taiwo must be also very proud for Nigeria.
- Sure they are! I wish they had also played for our National team.
- In what mood and physical conditions did you return to Kyiv?
- After physical examination doctors stated that I’m ready to play. Being in South Africa I followed Dynamo and watched all friendlies via Internet. By the way it’s great that our official website has English version now. I want to thank Dynamo website team for that!
- Have you already had a private talk with Oleh Blokhin?
- No, I haven’t. But playing for Dynamo Kyiv I always try to do my best on the pitch.
- Being defeated by FC Girondins de Bordeaux Dynamo can concentrate only on the Ukrainian Premier League…
- Football is very unpredictable. It’s impossible to win all the time. This season our task is to finish second at least in the Ukrainian Premier League and secure the Champions League spot.
- How can you estimate your main rivals - Dnipro and Metalist?
- Both Dnipro and Metalist are well organized teams. Besides they have also been kicked off from the Europa League. Now they’ll concentrate on the Ukrainian Premier League. Still I believe we are able to win every match this spring.
- What do you expect from the match against FC Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih?
- It will be a home match so our fans will support us, which is very important. We have some difficulties but I’m sure that we can overcome them together.
- In the previous game against Kryvbas Andriy Yarmolenko grabbed the winner only a couple of minutes before the time…
- This time we must score much quicker!
- You’ve already scored 13 goals in the Ukrainian Premier League this season while Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Shakhtar Donetsk has scored 18. Can you still win the strikers’ competition?
- In the first half of the season I missed some goal-scoring opportunities. But now I work under great and prolific forward during his playing days Oleh Blokhin. His advices are very helpful.
