- We focused our attention on shots from distance as we knew that Slovakia would play defensively.
- Why did Rakytskyi take free kicks, but not you?
- He said he felt up to score. I guess in forthcoming matches free kicks will be a success for him.
- Why didn’t Ukraine try to keep it on the carpet? There were a lot of crosses…
- Slovakia played very orderly for defense, so we couldn’t keep it on the carpet. Anyway I can’t say that every cross was a failure.
- Did you discuss the disallowed goal with Piatov? Did he really push Slovakia keeper?
- We haven’t talked about that.That episode can’t be excuse for us. It’s our fault that we made a lot of mistakes in the first half.
- Did you deserve at least a draw?
- We were doing our best… Every player struggled for positive result, for the country. Unfortunately that happens. In the previous qualification we lost against Montenegro in a similar manner. Anyway all is not lost – we have nine more games to play.
- Maybe the thing is that the goal you conceded shattered the team?
- Of course, it all went wrong. That’s why there was nervousness.
