FC Dynamo Kyiv winger Andriy Yarmolenko has commented upon the win against FC Mynai (4:1) in his first game upon the return to our club.
- Of course it’s incredible to be back to the native team, to this stadium. The only drawback is that there were no fans, but we feel their support and this game was for them.
- Did you recall 2008 and your debut for Dynamo before the game?
- Not really, it was so long ago (smiling). I was just really emotional being back home, to the team I love. What matters is that we’ve won.
- What do you think of the UPL level? Has it changed since you played here last time?
- It’s hard to say after one game. Anyway Dynamo opponents are always very motivated. When you concede an early opener, things get tough as they start playing very defensively. But we created a number of chances, scored and won.
- You really wanted to score and had a good chance in the second half after one-two with Buialskyi…
- I wanted to score, but, as I mentioned before, what I really want is to bring the league title back to Kyiv. My goals are secondary to me. As I promised, I’ll be doing my best on the field. Today I was ready to play for 70 minutes, but I’ll keep working to make it 90.
