Aleksandar PANTIC: “I heard only good stuff about Dynamo from Ninkovic”

- I was really happy to find our Dynamo were interested in me, – started Aleksandar. – I was tired of loan moves in Spain, so Kyivans’ offer was very appropriate. I’ll do my best not to let Dynamo coach down and to gladden fans.

- What do you know about FC Dynamo Kyiv?
- I know that Dynamo are the most titled team in Ukraine struggling for leadership against Shakhtar. I think Dynamo domestic and European achievements speak for themselves.

- Did you talk to your compatriots – like Ninkovic or Gavrancic, who used to feature for Dynamo – before the transfer?
- I talked to Milos Ninkovic and heard only good stuff about Dynamo from him. Milos said it’s a great chance for me and I should be happy to join such team. Later I talked to Radoslav Petrovic and he told me the same.

- So, you’ve come to terms with Villarreal, who’ve agreed to give you the status of free agent.

- Actually I had no problems with Villarreal, but Alaves I played on loan for didn’t want to let me go before my time. Fortunately everything is okay and I’ve signed a contract with Dynamo.

- Were years in Spain beneficial for you?

- It was a good experience as I could face good opponents and make headway as professional.

- Being Villarreal player you performed mostly on loan – for Cordoba, Eibar and Alaves. Was it difficult to demonstrate your best qualities?
- It was as it always took time to find common ground with new teammates. Still I’m satisfied with my first two years in Spain. Only the last year wasn’t a success. Anyway even bad experience can be useful for my career.

- What do you know about rivalry of Dynamo and Shakhtar?

- I know these sides are bitter rivals like Partizan and Crvena Zvezda in Serbia.

- What are your expectations of performances for Dynamo?

- I’ve signed four-year contract and I want to demonstrate my best qualities. Maybe adaptation will take some time, but I hope I’ll become the first team regular soon.

- Have you already talked to Serhiy Rebrov?

- We’ve talked a couple of times. Serhiy Rebrov had been following me for a while, so he knows my strengths.

- It seems you don’t have problems with physical conditions. Will two weeks be enough to reach mutual understanding with your teammates?

- As far as there’s no winter break in Spain in winter, I have no problems with fitness. Two weeks ago I performed in Copa del Rey for Alaves. I hope a fortnight of the training camp will be enough for me.
