Dynamo: fight on all fronts
FC Dynamo Kyiv are approaching the game against FC Karpaty Lviv not in a very good mood. On October 23 the White-Blues suffered the second defeat of the season as they lost against Aalborg BK away (0:3).
On September 27 Kyivans won the national cup round of 16 first leg against Karpaty due to the only goal netted by Lukasz Teodorczyk early in the game.
The forthcoming fixture will be the first home match in the Ukrainian Cup for Dynamo this season.
Serhiy Rebrov still can’t count on injured Yevhen Makarenko, Denys Harmash and Dieumerci Mbokani.
Karpaty: well-known cup fighter
Lviv side will face Dynamo twice within the next two weeks. After the cup match they’ll oppose Kyivans in the Ukrainian Premier League.
Karpaty coped with FC Chaika easily within the national cup round of 32 (4:0).
After the early opener the Green-Whites conceded against Dynamo in Lviv they didn’t give up and thus they still have a chance to qualify for the next stage.
Current season isn’t a success for Karpaty so far. They have only five points in the UPL after nine matchdays.
In the previous game Igor Jovicevic’s men defeated FC Illichivets Mariupol (1:0).
