On August 21 the new Ukrainian Premier League season began.
FC Dynamo Kyiv started it with the game against FC Olimpik Donetsk. It was the first official match of our team under the charge of new head coach – Mircea Lucescu.
The game was interesting and spectacular. Dynamo took the situation under control at once and opened the score quickly. Buialskyi headed the ball in after cross by Karavayev.
After that Dynamo kept attacking and applying pressure. There’s no wonder Kyivans doubled the scored soon. De Pena put a cross into the box from the left side and Zaviyskyi sent the ball into his own net.
Several minutes later Olimpik pulled one back. Politylo hit the far corner after pass from the right wing.
Right before the break de Pena took a decent free kick, but Kychak parried his strike.
After the break Rodrigues made a substitute appearance and de Pena moved to the right flank. The game got more intense after Dynamo made it 3:1. Rodrigues eluded defender, found Buialskyi, Vitaliy put a low cross into the penalty area and Supriaha hit the empty goal.
Later Tsyhankov made the score 4:1 after Rodrigues coped with two defenders and passed to him. Viktor didn’t miss from inside the box.
So, it’s 4:1. Dynamo win the first game under the charge of Mircea Lucescu.

The White-Blues will face FC Olimpik Donetsk within the UPL matchday 1.
Technically Dynamo will be the away side, but the match will take place at the Dynamo Stadium named after Valeriy Lobanovskyi. Kick-off – 17:00.
Preparations for the season
The major change in Dynamo was the appointment of new head coach. The White-Blues started getting ready for the season under the charge of Mircea Lucescu.
The majority of players, who featured for other teams on loan last season, have rejoined the club. They’ve got a chance to show what they’re capable of.
Dynamo have had a three-week training camp at the training complex in Koncha-Zaspa. Besides they’ve played three friendlies.

Olimpik
Olimpik have officially appointed Ihor Klymovskyi to the post of head coach. He’d been a caretaker since March.
Donetsk side started preparations for the season on July 27. They had a training camp in Shchaslyve. The team played five friendlies. The club signed two newcomers – Kyrylo Kyrylenko and Yevhen Nepliakh. Pavlo Ksionz has prolonged his contract with the club.
