FC Dynamo Kyiv played the first game after appointment of new head coach Olexiy Mykhailychenko on the Independence Day at the NSC Olimpiyskyi.
The White-Blues faced FC Olimpik Donetsk, who didn’t have a single point after four games.
Mykhailychenko made only one substitution in the starting lineup comparing with the previous match against Club Brugge KV. Mohammed Kadiri played as the only supporting midfielder.
Visitors had three centre backs and two supporting midfielders. Olimpik game plan was obvious. Before the break, they didn’t have attempts on target at all.
Still, Dynamo attacking efforts were also poor in the first half. Visitors didn’t give Kyivans space.
The start of the second half was shocking for Dynamo. Olimpik first shot turned into goal. Teixeira found Politylo inside the box and Serhiy hit the far bottom corner.
Ten minutes later Tsyhankov equalized with a fabulous strike from distance.
Then Hryshko was sent off for the rough foul against Verbic and it seemed the White-Blues would grab the winner. They tried to, but numerous crosses from both sides were useless.
Later referee Vitaliy Romanov showed the red card to Verbic, but not for some action. Benjamin was sent off just for attempt to kick his opponent.
Anyway, Dynamo play in a draw which is equal to defeat.
