FC Dynamo Kyiv faced FC Chornomorets Odesa away within the Ukrainian Premier League matchday 3.
Inspired by support of their fans home side players demonstrated that they wouldn’t be whipping boys early in the game. Olexandr Babych’s men not only defended, but also tried to attack.
In general the White-Blues controlled the game. Yarmolenko could open the score twice in the first half. At first he hit the post and then goalkeeper saved Chornomorets.
In the second half Kyivans realized that they can’t lose points, so they have to score no matter what. When it seemed that young team from Odesa would manage to salvage a draw Dynamo netted the ball. The White-Blues took a free kick, Harmash passed to Moroziuk, Mykola didn’t manage to shoot properly, Miakushko obtained the ball, defender blocked his shot, but eventually Moraes hit the bottom corner with backheel!
Several minutes later Serhiy Miakushko dispossessed Chornomorets player in the midfield, found Yarmolenko inside the penalty area and Andriy scored.
2:0 – not an easy win for Dynamo, but it lets Kyivans share the first place in standings with FC Shakhtar Donetsk.
