On April 12, when the whole Ukraine celebrated Easter, FC Dynamo Kyiv faced FC Zoria Luhansk within the UPL matchday 19.
Comparing with the national cup game that took place on Wednesday the White-Blues coaching staff made six substitutions in the starting lineup.
Serhiy Rebrov’s men opened the score 4 minutes into the match. Yarmolenko started Dynamo attack, found Silva on the right flank, Danilo put a low cross into the box and Kravets hit the far corner.
Still five minutes later Zoria scored the equalizer. Dragovic fouled against Lipartia inside the penalty area, referee awarded penalty and Pyliavskyi converted from the spot.
Visitors could score again right after that, but Rybka saved the team in one-on-one situation and didn’t let Khomchenovskyi send Luhansk side up.
36 minutes into the game referee awarded free kick for the White-Blues and Serhiy Rybalka hit the upper V from 20-meter distance.
After the break Lens replaced Husiev. Kyivans were willing to score more. Yarmolenko and Buialskyi had good chances, but Santini parried their shots. Still it often happens that if you don’t use your opportunities you concede. This time Kameniuka put a low cross into Dynamo penalty area and Ljubenovic hit the bottom corner.
After that Mbokani made a substitute appearance and later had a good chance, but missed the target.
So, the White-Blues play in a draw in the UPL for the fourth time this season and let FC Shakhtar Donetsk approach them. Now the distance between these sides is five points.
