FC Dynamo Kyiv have defeated FC Zoria Luhansk 2:0 in the Ukrainian Cup quarterfinals return match at the Stadium named after Valeriy Lobanovskyi and thus reached semifinals.

Victory in the first leg a month ago let Kyivans’ coaching staff make some squad experiments. Serhiy Rebrov has used this opportunity.

So, Olexandr Rybka was keeping the goal. As for defense, Aleksandar Dragovic returned to the starting lineup and Betao featured on the left flank instead of Vitorino Antunes.

Speaking about the midfield, Denys Harmash, Oleh Husiev, Vitaliy Buialskyi and Andriy Yarmolenko were replaced by Serhiy Rybalka, Jeremain Lens, Younes Belhanda and debutant Bohdan Mykhailychenko.

Lukasz Teodorczyk was the finisher.

Bohdan Mykhailychenko formally graduated from DynamoAcademy only last year, but he’s been featuring for U-19 and U-21 teams for two seasons already. This year 18-year-old has already scored 7 goals in 16 games.

Playing for the main squad he took the place of left winger.

The return of Jeremain Lens is of great importance. It should be also mentioned that Aleksandar Dragovic was the team captain.

Dynamo started the game confidently controlling the situation on the field. Step by step they increased pressure. Lens finished attack with a header, but goalkeeper Santini was in the right place to catch the ball.

The first goal was scored unexpectedly. Belhanda put a cross into the box from the flank.

Zoria keeper didn’t expect that, so the ball hit the upper V.

Ten minutes later Betao found Teodorczyk inside the penalty area and Polish Striker headed the ball in.

Teo has scored in his fourth game in a row.

After the break Dynamo acted very confidently even though it was noticeable that both sides thought about the forthcoming UPL face-to-face battle.

Rybalka controlled the midfield and unleashed some good shots from distance. He missed really narrowly twice.

Kravets replaced Khacheridi and Zoria almost hit the target after that. Malyshev didn’t use a good opportunity.

So, the White-Blues win 4:1 on aggregate and reach semifinals.
